need a HID expert help!

ok i bought retro headlights from mkulrey. it is the bixenon hid kit. well one of the relay harness stopped working so i bought another one. well ive had it for like 4 months now and finally got to install it. well it doesnt work. i even put the ballast and hid bulb on the other relay harness and it workd. well i talked to him and told him about it. well he is telling me that the company doesnt make them anymore and he doesnt have anymore. so my question is. can i just buy a regular 9007 relay harness. i dont care if i cant use the high beam i just want to be able to use my passenger side headlight. please let me know what u think. i honestly think it would work.

IDK man, i had those lights too. the pass side kept burning out, so i bought the Mini H1 kit and re did them. i would possibly suggest trying to use another 9007 Harness, the only thing that wouldnt Pnp would be the High Beam Connector, but i cant guarantee that would work.

Use the fender bolt or the strut mount bolt for a ground, those are the two best grounds around there that have never failed me.

Im amused at everyone who jumps to conclusions when they clearly know nothing

OK..We stopped selling the G3 projector 6-7 MONTHS ago.. We just ran out of spare parts a few weeks ago and WE cannot get ahold of anymore. OUR factory does not produce them. When we had extra parts, we sent them out when people needed them. We offer a hefty discount on a new Morimoto setup for ALL customers who want a better setup which TheRetrofitSource will not be discontinuing any time soon.

That being said, you did not want to upgrade...also I believe you paid for these OVER a year ago and we would never have known that we couldnt carry them anymore.. Ive mentioned 100x times on the forums, do not let them get wet. extend the wires if need be to move it AWAY from the headlights. The Morimotos really do not have this issue. The harness isn't as fragile.

We are here to help in EVERYWAY we can. But when we do not produce the parts anymore theres no way we can get them. Please PM us rather then make a thread saying we wont do anything..

You also paid for a harness from another company... And that didn't work either. So that tells me you are screwing something up. If I wasn't sure about that, the fact that you chose a poor ground, AND somehow made your ballast SMOKE, convinced me.

So this isn't a problem with buyhids, it's a problem with your install. But buyhids sent you a second harness, and offered you a huge discount on an upgraded harness, and somehow they are the bad guy here?
