Ok I've tried searching and not come up with much but anyway i hope this is the right place to post. I have a 08 cobalt 2.2 ls. i am running a mild 400watt rms 1-12" sub system with upgraded interior speakers, HIDs(which should take less amps that normal halogen). But anyway, i still have my stock ac delco battery. it has died on me. after testing it seems the plates are sufated and the electrolyte is low. but being maintenance free i cant easily fill them before de-sufating them. So while i mess with that i was going to go ahead and get a long lasting high quality battery.
What do you all recommend based on tests you've seen or experiences you've had. or even upgrades you've been able to fit that are better than the group 90 batteries.

the somewhat standard 34/78 fits but its just a little too tall so it can push up the stock carpet

do those work with the stock hold down? im doing a custom truck tray out of fiber board.
