nice pics man!!!!......im going to be doing my system soon and i was hoping i could get a better view of the speaker baffle. What size are your door speakers??...i have some JL audio 6" that im going to be putting in my doors. Will they fit where the stockers go??...and if not, is there room enough to make a 3/4" mdf plate in there for them if i remove the factory plastic baffle????
Thanks in advance!!!

I m also wondering about the speaker adapter plates you have there, where did you get them? Also, looks like those are 7" in the door, how do they fit depth wise?

The G/f says it sounds much better than stock, except it still needs it's low end, The Sub hasn't been installed yet. I'll put up some more pictures tomorrow though.
The adapter plate that you see in the pictures is the factory plate, it comes off the speaker.
Without the plate there is room for a 3/4" MDF piece, I'll be doing that for my car.
The speaker holes are 7" (but not really round) openings, so if you put a 6" in your going to need to make a adapter for it. (I was thinking of putting in some 8" Pioneer shallow mount subs, But I think my 6.5" JBL GTI's will be fine in my car.
The Pioneer logos that are in the pictures near the Tweeter are part of the plastic, I was thinking of getting rid of them, and the one from the Sub since I no longer have Pioneer Speakers, but Haven't gotten the sander out yet to sand them down....
This car (the red one) Has 6.5" Diamond Audio D6's at all 4 corners, the back has a MDF plate and a baffle on the bottom to seal them. They are being run off a old Sony ES 5channel Amp, giving them 75 watts per speaker and 280 for the sub when I get it in. It will be a Rockford Fosgate P3 Shallow mount Dual 2ohm VC. I will be putting it in the Stock Sub enclosure.
I think I covered all the questions so far. Look for Pics tomorrow of the Rest.

I don't think I will have to repaint them after sanding as the plastic itself is that dark color all the way through, but if I do I will.
I'm hoping the P3s will fill in the low end nicely. considering if I have to paint the plastic after sanding haveing the Sub enclosure painted to match the car...

more pics....
I need to get some pics of the back deck from underneath with the crossovers mounted on it. and please keep in mind that this is a work in progress, I am waiting for the 1/2" plexi to come in for the shelf that the Amp is going to be sitting on, the shallow mount sub, and waiting on about 1500$ for the head unit, she's going to get a AVIC-D3 with Bluetooth, and XM Navtraffic, plus a backup camera.
thanks

I don't think the water will be an issue, never has been before. As for the Remote for the 3sixty, the 3sixty is a temporary addition till I can get money together for A AVIC-D3 and some other pieces for it.
The RCA's are off the 3sixty, (I think your asking about the 3 under the radio?) they are the Aux input to the 3sixty. And will be an input for the Avic-D3 when i get it.

I still have my car (the Blue SS/SC) to do a stereo in and It will be a bit before I come up with money for my AVIC-Z2 and extras.....so it will go in my car when I get my second set of JBL GTi's. I have one pair of 6.5's and both of my amps for the Blue car. just need to install it and then get a head unit.
I'm not sure what the other guy was talking about with the big wire guage thing but the power wire to the Amp is 4 awg, the speaker wires are 14 awg for the 6.5's and 18 awg for the tweeters. When I run my car, it will all be 10 awg speaker wire, I made suer I had room for that in the door connectors.

Got my sub in and installed , sounds great so far, I have to break her in nicely though before I turn her up. (thats what RF says) and I still have to re-adjust the system once everything is broken in. But so far so good, all thats left is the mounting of the Amp to the upper package tray....
I'm happy :-)
I installed a Rockford Fosgate 10" P3 shallow mount sub in the Stock Pioneer box, It is getting 280 Watts RMS from my amp. (Sub rated for 300 watts RMS)

Excellent work man! I am installing my AVIC-D3 on Thursday and rewiring my front speakers just like that! I have pretty much the same setup as you with the components in the front. I also used a heat gun and mounted the tweaters just like yours. These pictures are really helpful too and they should probably be added to the sticky.

More pictures.... I got My laptop to do what it's supposed to, and Got the 3sixty set up all nice. But I will be buying a Palm (Lifedrive, if anyone has a modded one for sale let me know) so I can do this easier, and Navigation too.
RF 10" Shallow Mount in Stock Pioneer sealed Box.
This is my Amp mounted under the rear deck. It's a bit tighter than I thought right now, I need to find some 8" x 1/4" Bolts, the 5" are too short. then it will lay flat. (and eventually we will get to a actuator to make the piece slide out.
I'm considering flipping the whole thing over and lighting the Plexi, but not to sure on how the amp will do with heat, I might have to pick up some fans first....I'll find out tomorrow if it's not breathing well, I'm driving to Florida (from Illinois) so if it's going to over heat it will do it soon. It was warm today already. i saw someone else had a amp mounted upside down, I wonder if it will over heat?

The P3 is pretty, I just wish the old platic cover would have fit, I don't want to ruin it.....
The Amp is a old Sony ES 5 channel Amp, (same one from my last picture post up about 1/2 way (on this tread). I want to say its a Sony ES XM 7557 or something. 4x75 @ 4 ohms and 1x280 @ 1 ohms I'll have to get a picture from farther away, I didn't know I was so close...
I'm off to Florida Tomorrow, so my replys are going to be slow...
