New Radio Screwed up Gauges
Hi, this is my first time posting. I recently took out my factory stereo from my 2006 LS Coupe (no onstar, no pioneer audio). I swapped it out with a crapy aftermarket stereo. When that happened I accidentally blew a fuse when reconnecting my battery. Before I knew I blew the fuse I thought the aftermarket stereo wasn't working. I installed the factory radio, replaced the fuse, then my unit now displays locked. I took it into the dealer they couldn't fix it because they said there was something wrong with the GM LAN11 wire.
I recently bought a JVC head unit and the Pac C2R-GM11b wire harness. I installed it, the wire harness was defective so the ACC was not working so I am getting a replacement for free. The JVC still works but when it's on, my gas, speedometer, and rpm gauges drop all the way down and do not work, this was the same with my factory unit when I reinstalled it and I would try to turn the power on. I still haven't installed the new Pac C2R-GM11b wire harness yet. So my question is: Is the cause of the gauges to malfunction caused by the possible problem with the GM LAN11 wire?
Any solutions would help, I'm trying to save money because they want to charge a lot for trying to fix the GM LAN11 problem.

Oh ok. I also had this problem when I reinstalled the factory unit. If I pressed the power for the stereo my gauges would flip out and take about 5 minutes to reset. I guess I don't understand why my gauges would be affected by the stereo.

what did you change as far as the wiring?
the radio has GM Lan which is the data for the entire car. so something is messed with the wiring and causing that data to shut down. I had the exact same issue for a day until i figured out it was the harness. I dont know how long the BCM can handle the gm lan getting weird interface voltage as well
