New Speakers
I have two questions here.
#1 - my drivers door speaker randomly stopped working so I'm going to buy a new set for the front, any suggestions as to what I should buy? I was thinking maybe Kicker or Alpine sense I have an Alpine 12" sub already.
#2 - I have some ridiculous rattles going on in the rear of the car, what are some of the
major things that rattle? My rear deck lid sounds like its going to explode and fall off, is there any way to fix that?

I'm debating between these three, any input? I'm leaning towards the Alpine's only because I already have a 12" Alpine sub in the trunk, so I figured I'd stay Alpine.

These are three way, what about these?
Kenwood KFC-1693PS 6-1/2" 3-way car speakers — also fit 6-3/4" openings at Crutchfield.com[rank3]3-way

the sad part is no one else caught on. if the 3 ways are better then how come they are cheaper? maybe kenwood and infinity are trying to fool everyone into paying more for the worse speakers. or is it the fact that the people who want **** cheap fall into the marketing hype but the people willing to pay for good sound could careless how many supertweeters and flux capacitors the speakers have
i would say your best bet is probably the infinity kapa 2 way 652.9i or the KFC-X1730

yea to be honest dude, shell out the cash for a component set of those kappas rather than coaxial....just my two cents...as far as sound dampening goes theres no one better to ask here than JJ the guy who posted -----^
right above me....supposedly he has few thou in sound deadening done on my car...its worth it though. I dropped about 200 bucks for 80 sq. ft of second skin, which allows for quite a bit to get deadened, nothing too extreme, but it'll get the job done. for a trunk kit you're looking at anywhere from 80-130 for a decent brand. just take the sheets of butyl rubber with foil backing and apply it (after washing your trunk lid, etc. to allow the adhesive to set properly)...make sure you over lap the edges a slight bit, you don't want gaps. my 2 c.
