New speakers base model
I tried searching but couldnt really find anything because the search tool and google arent the best. I did see somewhere that you cant just swap speakers out because of the stock 2ohm speakers.
Im looking to replace the 6.5" and 6x9s in back. Looking for something with good bass.
Probably looking to get an amp, any suggestions on amps or speakers. Also how would i wire this amp up. From the headunit to the amp then from the amp to the speakers? thanks everyone

I replaced my front 6.5" got a mounting support from best buy 9.99$ shipped and it fits right in.
The speakers are amazing for bass my whole door shakes and mirrors as well and they're not even amped haha I'll upgrade the back ones soon as well

kenwood speakers can be pretty good just they arent really bassy. honestly most aftermarket are going to be worse than stock bass wise so thats why i suggested hertz.
reason i was asking about the amp is because if you do a comp set you really should have an amp. not necessary but a really good idea

anyone have ideas on fitment? would they fit behind the door panel or would i have to cut the plastic out for them to poke thru a littl
I guess what am i asking is if i had a speaker that was too deep. could i do that or has anyone done that

i wouldnt worry about fitment too much. you will have a hard time finding a speaker thats too deep to fit in the stock location. assuming that you do you can add a spacer and still fit under the factory door panel just fine.
only issue you may run into is if you buy a 6.5 thats not a true 6.5 and instead a 6"... the smaller diameter might be a bitch but still not the end of the world

I run a loc for my subs, still sounds great but most cheap amps have a high level input, just run your stock wires to there and you're done. Honestly you should also reconsider, the Fosgate Prime series is crap, their punch and power series are great though, get a PBR300x4 and you will be happy.
