Noob Needs Help With Projector Halos/HIDs (what brand?)
Alright be gentle on me for my first post on this site.
JUST FOR THE RECORD IM NOT A MODDING NOOB, JUST A COBALT NOOB
Trying to help out a friend with either a 08 Silver Limited Edition with SS stripes (not my car dont ask) but she's looking to ad Projectors with halos/angel eyes to her car
So I wanted to start a thread to see what others are currently running.
Are people happy with just going with ebay ones, or is there a certain vendor everyone is running? Also depending on brand how is everyone's holding up? Do they make LED halos for cobalts? or are they mainly CCFLs, with usually set of 3 LEDs?
Also when swapping from a stock housing, whats the best option for HIDs?
The stock bulb is a 9007 right? so by that it'd be a single beam for high & low right?
but if swapping to projectors dont they have bulbs for both High and Low?
Will i need a separate harness for those assuming it swap from a 9007 to like a 9005 &9006? Again where is everyone getting there HIDs from? HIDGate or DDMTuning?
Are there any "HOW TO GUIDES" for installation?
I took a quick look and assuming its just a couple push pin tabs and then the housing bolts? or is there something more tricky? Assuming again its similar to other chevys because i've changed out an 07 equinox before.

Welcome to the site. Im not too far from Webster, but there a few member who are much closer than me.
Retros would be the best option, but im sure she doesnt want to spend that much. IIRC everyone seems to like the Gen 3's and 4's, but i dont believe the 4's have halo's

I know for sure she wants halos so who knows.
