Not sure how to wire this up.

Im wanting to modify my drive and passenger door panels so i can fit two more 6.5" speakers in each door. But im also wanting to add two more 6x9s in the back seat area. This would give me 10 speakers in the car. Would a 4ohm speaker or 2ohm speaker be best to wire to an amp? Could i use a 4 channel amp or should it be 6 channel amp?

Im completely confused about how this will work but i want it. Anyone that can help a little would be awesome.

Thanks.

just use 4 ohm speakers because it makes the most sense. however 6 speakers up front while doable makes figuring out the amp/power situation somewhat complicated. i guess the easiest thing is a 2 ohm stable 6 channel and put 2 speakers on 2 channels, 4 on 2 and the rear 4 on 2.

Unfortunately thou you are opening a gigantic can of worms. What exactly are you going for here? looks? volume? You can look at a few of my pics for ideas but before u start going at you you may want to reconsider

I want looks and volume. Mainly looks and self satisfaction. What would be a good amp to use? Im running 1500w RMS to my subs and want to hear my mids and highs clearly while still getting a ton of bass from my subs.

I was thinking of getting the Kicker KS series spears for the doors and rear deck and my other two for the back.

You think the Kicker KS series is a good speaker choice?

I hate to disagree with you emp but I would run a pair of 2 channels, also I would run the fronts 8 ohm speakers such as the Crescendo PWX-6.5 which come in 4 or 8 ohm. Then you could split them down to a 2.66 load(each door per channel on one two channel). It really depends how deep your pockets are, take Berlow for example, running 4 8" mids per door and 4 tweeters. Also for some decently cheap mids($3 less than the PWX's) you could run Eminators and not really need such a high power amp to push them to full potential.

Then for the rear you could run 4 4 ohm mids (two per channel) and be at a 2 ohm load. I really couldn't recommend a good set of 6x9's. The only ones I have enough experience with would be RF Primes and Powers.

For some good cheap amps you could always look at Precision Power. I have a Phantom series 600.2 and it sounds great but I am running it at a 4 ohm load per channel full range. When I first got it I ran it on a pair of Skar MA-8's bridged at 2 ohms to see how it could handle pushing subs and it did well for being more of a component oriented amp. Also they do rated power cleanly.

ya i didnt really think about 8 ohm that would work the only issue with running all 6 is finding an amp to power them. I mean if hes not looking to give them all rated power then thats one thing but if thats the case then why not just make it easier by running 8 total 4 in the front 4 in the back. if you putting 150 X3 and running 2.6 ohm load you going to want a good 1000 to 1200w rms amp to give them rated.

theres just way too much potential for them to sound like ****. while id say stick with 4 in the car. you can do

and just any FYI this single CDT ES-07 installed in the factory location was louder then it is now in the pod and midwise sounded cleaner as well
