There was no chip. The flex from the roof caused it to crack right beside where my rearview is mounted from the edge down where the roof flexed the most. I thought maybe It was chipped too. Its possible to crack a windshield with a system like what I had, the box was 3/4" MDF so it didn't give any and there is also a decent amount of airspace in it for being sealed. But shattering one is a whole different ball game. The system had the low pass tuned to 38hz. If it wasn't for the amp I wouldn't have done that. It is by far the most efficient amp I have ever seen. My lights never dimmed in the cobalt and barely dimmed in everything else. No cap and my voltage never dropped below 12V. It was only that low due to the jeep and the gay ass charging system that was regulated at 12.5V. Looked everywhere on how to bypass that but its computer controlled and required me to get rid of my a/c or fab up a bracket for an older GM alternator.

not only in my 'balt because my front speakers weren't working anymore, but for any setup in any car. Way too many of these french kids here in montreal have beat up civics with 15inch subs that steal all the bass, but stock speakers and a shitty deck. So when you're in the car, all you hear is bass vibrating (not even the thumps) because you can't get the good mids and highs from the shitty stock speakers that can't handle it.
