One spot [major vibrating with subs]
I just install some subs in my 2005 LS Cobalt and its not dynamated,
I know the dynamat will stop it but i'm going to get dynamat soon enough.
But does anyone have subs in their cobalt and no dynamat and theres a spot underneith the rear windshield that is vibrating like crazy? becuase there is in my cobalt and it makes it sound like its coming from the sub and it makes it sound like crap.
I know the dynamat will stop it but i'm going to get dynamat soon enough.

go with second skin... belive me youll love it. As far as the vibrating sound your going to have to really find out WTF it is before you can solve it... i have tons of sond dampening mat and liquid in my car and i still get the sound of like a loose bolt inside the trunk. But i cant find it worth **** and its been there since i lowered the car and got the harsher ride

Just throwing a couple more ideas out there:
I had a friend who used a stethoscope to isolate buzzes and rattles, it worked really well for him.
Don't forget checking the spare tire, jack and battery below the cover in the trunk. You should be able to tell if the noise is coming from there though.
Sometimes it helps to just shoot some silicone seal in gaps between panels and pieces.
Hope this helps!

Do you mean the deck under the rear window, and you've already taken the cover off? That is strange, maybe something like the stethoscope would help. You've probably already tried this but fold down the seats, lay down on them and try to find the noise. Maybe the seat cables or latches?

I actually used a product called "b-quiet". A while back, some guy made a website comparing all the different types of sound deadening materials. It was a very thougough web site and I decided that the b-quiet was best for me. I bought the 50sq feet package off ebay for like 100 bucks or something. Freaking awesome deal.

not exactly the same... dynomat original is an asphalt deadener so i wouldnt recommend it or anyother asphalt product to anyone... bquiet is a butyl based deadener... meaning it can have a very little or a bunch of butyl and no one knows. So its a step up from asphalt but i dont know how much. Dynomat extreme is an actual butyl deadener so its most or all of the product is actually butyl... Second skin damplifier and damp pro are both butyl mats as well and from a few tests ive seen they hold up better then dynomat extreme so one can guess second skin uses a better quality butyl
