outside air temp sensor

does anyone know where the outside air temp sensor is mounted? there is a hanging plug under the bumper cover after getting some body work done and since then the temp reading does not display...so i drew the conclusion that this plug is for this sensor, but the shop was unable to locate it...so i was wondering if any of you knew...thanks
