Pioneer AVIC Headunit w/Ipod Touch

I have a Pioneer AVIC 7000BT head unit and a 32gb iPod Touch 2nd gen. Recently iTunes retardedly decided to upgrade my iPod and delete all my music. Now instead of firmware 3.1.3 I have 4.1. When I hook my iPod up via my iPod cable the head unit says that the iPod could not be connected and to try reconnecting it. Any advise or suggestions? I'm pretty mad about the whole thing right now.

No it's not. In fact... to restore to a firmware that Apple has stopped signing (such as 3.1.3) is impossible unless you did this: What is SHSH & How is it important? & Few FAQ's | MacHackPC

Yeah, I have a new 4th gen now too, so I have no way to make it work. I just dug out my old 60gb video and filled it up with my music and leave it hooked up all the time.
