Yes the connectors used on the Cobalt radio are pretty much standard with other GM product.
The 2 primary connectors on the back of the radio are also identical whether or not you have the Pioneer sound system (RPO:US8) but are obviously routed differently, if that's what you're asking.
I would post a diagram of the connections and shematic but my account wont let me.
PM me your email address

Thanks W.O.T the reason I that I was wondering is becasue I want to know if I can use an ipod interface from another GM vehicle in the cobalt.

such as http://www.monstercable.com/icruze/

the problem being there is no compatablility for the Cobalt (or not listed) however it might be the same as another Raidio in the GM line???

No I dont beleive it will work
When I said the connectors were common I meant with other platforms that use an "in deck" CD Changer such as the Cobalt. (Many GM cars and trucks do)
MOST of these (including the Cobalt) DO NOT have a line level L/R input for use with these types of devices. Those that do are typically those with flip-down DVD players for the rear passengers like the trucks, vans and SUVs.
Not saying it CANT be done somehow, but just not with the stock setup AFAIK

some of these sorts of devices use a 6 disc cd changer upgrade port ... does the cobalt have this and is it common with a different vehicle ??

No because the changer is built-in. Those ports are for vehicles with a REMOTE changer and GM has gone away from them for quite a while now.

Thanks, I think that answers all my questions and confirms what I was thinking that I will just have to wait till they are compatible with the cobalt.

Unless you have a different idea how to get an auxiliary input into a stock deck?
