Just get ur self a couple of 10s.. i personally like rockford fosgate..(cheap and sounds good for price) its going to cost a lil... so get some dynamat... or off brand from ebay, and wrap the entire trunk with it. Then install the subs.. you dont want it to rattle... it gets so anoying for people around you..(i hate cars that have rattling trunks!!!!!!!)

My 400 watt 12" doesn't rattle....Well the license plate does but that's because I only have 2 bolts holding it instead of 4. I think the Cobalt's trunk is pretty well insulated or maybe my sub just sucks lol because it is a cheap brand after all....

I was just interested in the pioneers because they fit in that little space in the trunk perfectly and i wouldn't have to jeopardize my trunk space by putting a big box in there. I was wondering if anyone has advice on the infinity reference subs. They are on the cheap side but the reviews say they are very good. Heres the link to the subs, http://www.crutchfield.com/S-bAMhhvE...1081240W&g=520

i tried to take out the factory box but its got so many freakin bolts holdin the damn thing in its a pain in the ass. and a good thing to keep in mind is its not the sub that makes a great sound, not litterally, but its the box that well get you that 'bump' that you want. i have 2 cheap a** 10" audiobahn subs that put out only 150 rms each, but they are attached to a brand new box that audiobahn made, where instead of have just a hole in the box for the port, they actually made a little maze inside the box that the sound travels through before it exits the box. but because of the way the box was made it sounds better than subs that put out 600 watt rms in a standard port box, so don't forget about box construction along with a good pair of subs and a good amp.
