I'm looking at buying the stock Pioneer 7-speaker system (amp, speakers & sub) from a member here and I was wondering if I will have trouble hooking it up to my non-pioneer head unit? Anybody know?

hooking up the amp is the main issue. the rest is cake. if you have the plugs for the stock amp then it wont be too difficult

So you can't just run wires to the amp,, there are special plugs? Also I have read that the Pioneer HU has line-level outputs whereas mine has speaker level, so can I just use an LOC? Thanks.

well the amp has plugs like your hu. unless you have those plugs you have to find some way of getting those pins to see what they are supposed to (know what i mean) you can always solder on wires i guess

you can use an loc or you could just run it like that

Ok, so it has a pin style plug for the input and the outputs right? That would make the input speaker level correct? Sorry for all the question, just want to make sure it will work befor I buy.

no it would make it a pin style plug. the easiest thing to do honestly in ur situation is buy the stock speakers/sub and an aftermarket 5 channel amp/ crossover for the front tweeters if ur getting them
