I love my 8" Kicker SSMB8's! I have them playing 50hz-140hz and my mids (front and rear) go up from there. I can high-pass them at 80hz if they get a little overwhelming on the bottom end, but I usually just cut/boost my EQ in the 60hz and 125hz bands to fine tune their intensity. They really make the front sound stage more satisfying, I highly recommend adding Mid bass speakers to your system.

I have my sub low passed at 80hz. I tried going down to 75hz and 70hz, but I didn't like the way it sounded. The sub sounds more mellow at 80hz.

I have Infinity Kappa 6x9's. See pic above. The Kicker SSMB8's are only 2.25" deep. I have about 1/2" to spare between the back of the speaker and the sheet metal. If you pick something deeper you will have to cut through the sheet metal.

I have close to the same setup as yours, except that I am running a pair of 6 1/2" JL ZR series components. What does your fiberglass trunk setup look like tho? I am working on designs for mine, but am having trouble finding a way to mount the amps where they are visible while still having the right air space for the W6's to be ported.

It's nice to hear that supercharger whine, but I don't think I could live without a stereo system! By the way, if you remove the factory head unit, you will lose your warning chymes and turn signal "click-clack".
