Power Source

Power Source
Hey guys..quick question. I need to find a switched power source to use for my power windows im gonna be installing, and need to know where i should tap them. I already have a couple things (piggyback/gauges) tapped into the ignition wire, and I don't want to run too many accessories off of that one source, and for some reason, no current flows through the sunroof fuse in my car, so I can't tap that one. Would it be ok to tap into the power lock fuse for the power? Or does it need to be a switched source? Anyway, do you guys know of any switched power sources inside the car (passenger side fuse box) other than the sunroof and ignition?

an automotive relay is basically a big switch. you get power using a nice thick cable to the battery (or in this case probably the fuse box up front) and connect the switching source to your ignition wire (or whatever). This draws all the power from that separate wire your ran and only gets mili amps from the ignition wire so you dont have to worry about overloading the fuse
stinky being a bby installer can probably explain this a little better. Ive only had select experiences with relays

i think i got ya. Power source would be the jumper posts up front, or the battery, whichever is easiest (I imagine up front would be easier), but the connection is broken at the point of the relay. When wires from the relay to a switched power source have current flowing (aka key is ON), then the relay closes the circuit from the battery to the windows. Is this correct?
