problem

i was finishing installing my subs and the amp wouldnt turn on at first, so im sitting there trying to figure things out, meanwhile the radio and the other amp work just fine, im getting frustrated and just try disconnecting the battery and reconnecting it, that didnt work, and now my radio won't turn on, it isnt the fuse on the radio nor is it the battery or anything, there is current flowing, the radio still ejects discs, but won't turn on, last time it was a wire not being connected, but it was soldered this time so that should not be an issue... anything else?

hmmm the amp should be connected to the HU remote out. Also try eliminating the relay and see what happens

cant the relay just die like that? and not allow it to turn on, but still get power to eject?

like the screen gets power from the acc wire when the car is on, but the unit gets continuous power from the yellow wire to eject and reset if need be, and the unit will eject if i push the button

OK This confusing
1)The remote wire is the blue or blue with a white stripe wire coming off the back of the HU, it goes to the remote connection on the amps. There is no real reason for a relay since they only put out 0.5-1.0 volts, there might be a fuse on it,some of the newer HU don't do this but it used to be every remote wire was fused.
This wire has nothing to do with the fact that your deck is not turning on.
The red wire or the ACC (power) wire should be senting 12volts to the HU, it may have a relay on it, I dunno, but if it was not sending the proper current through then it would not do anything at, so CD would not eject.

I have a theory, It sounds like you enabled the security in your HU, if it worked then you cut the battery anb it wouldn't work then this make sense, since most HU security features kick in when power is cut to the unit. This would allow for CD's to be put in and out since some HU security is coded to a CD, Eclipse is an example.

no, i put a relay on the remote wire cuz i have two amps to turn on and figured itd be safe that way, it worked perfectly fine before

the security on my head unit is a pin code that i have to input, so no problem there
i never said the remote on was the problem, or reason it wouldn't turn on

the acc wire is connected to the relay, along with ground, power, remote on and one other, it is sending the problem voltage (i disconnected it before the plug on the car's side and tested it directly)

the yellow wire on my head unit controls power such as things that can be accessed without the car on... eject disc and reset. The red wire controls the screen

The security on my head unit also pops up on the screen and asks for the pin code, it doesn't just go black

lol just remove the relay. My HU powers 2 highs amps a processor and my big sub amp just fine.

Im pretty sure your using the relay wrong but im no expert with them anyway. As long as you do a direct run from the fusebox to the HU and direct remote run from the HU to the amp you should be fine. If not theres still a few things we can do but until you eliminate the relay i cant do much more support

ya today is the electronic mania day so ya

okay so the harness pac cr2-gm11 failed to provide accessory power to the head unit.. so now its working, but the amplifier (zx1500.1) will not turn on no matter what, there is proper power, proper ground, the remote on is working fine, just there is nothing working on it... the other amp works fine)

yes, when the car is off the kicker amp gets 10.7 volts, 12+ v and 0 on the ground

so the 10.7 won't turn it on, but when i turn on the car it goes 12 + for turn on, 14+ for positive and 0 for ground
