Question about Alpine Type R 10 inch subwoofer?
My question is, can a type r 10 inch woofer fit in the factory location? Either the dual voicecoil or the single voicecoil. Or will I have to build another box? I am planning on a all Alpine system. All type R. Sub, mids and highs. And all going in factory location. Keeping it a stelth look. Any ideas can help. Thanks

I doubt a type R will fit in the factory sub box. The box is VERY shallow. You'll have a hard time finding a sub that will fit the factory box.
Why are you going all alpine? there is WAY WAY better product out there for less money........................

In my opinion for what extra it would cost, get a custom box built to specs and it will sound very good. Trust me, I have a 15" alpine type r and I absolutly love it. Keep in mind tho that I have 2 alpine 600 watt rms v12 amps and it still screams for more. You cand beat the sound quality and how accurate it is especially for being a 15".

The Type R will sound like complete crap in that box.
The box needs to built for the sub and the factory box is no where near what the type R wants. Also, the type R has been a better ported sub for me then a sealed sub.
Go for a custom box on this one or just keep the stock sub. Otherwise your just wasting money.

that will fit. i have some pice of crap in mine right now, i moded the box so it would fit, big hole in the bottom of it. it sounds fine. but it gets over powered by my L7.
and if you have a dremel you can get any 10 inch sub to fit.
