Question for souping up stock sub???
Hey guys, Not sure if there was a thread on this before but I have been looking into adding a little ump into the stock sub........Is it possible to add a 300 watt Pioneer amp just for the sub and add a remote to adjust bass levels? I was looking into the GM-3300T 300W amp. Is this possible without adding an adapter on the stock head unit?

You would have to add an LOC to get another amp to work back there.
Good news is that you don't have to add it at the HU you could just cut into the stock sub wires to provide the signal, then a fuse tap to the sunroof fuse for a remote line (amp turn on)
Bad news is the stock sub will never handle 300 watts, you'll fry it real quick.
Upgrade to sub, with a shallow mount sub (must be shallow due to clearnce behind the sub) and hook that up to your new amp and its feesable.

better news is pioneer amps really suck so that amp will never put out 300 watts anyway
