red2006 ls

i just got my brackets from them and its has three tabs plus some other places for screws my stock speaker was held in with one screw does it mean i need to drill in my door for those tabs to mount the speaker in also i heard i need to cut my baffles to make the speaker sound better where do i cut it and how big of a hole
