quick question

This weekend i plan on putting in my pioneer flip out as soon as my trim pieces get back to me. Now i just have a quick question about wiring the speakers. I have the stock pioneer system my car. now do i have to run new speaker wire to my speakers or just wire them on the harness. Cuz on my mazda6 that i had with the bose system i used the speaker wire from my amp to wire up my speakers.

I don't understand your question?

I think, I would rewire the speakers with new, better wire. But i am sure yo can use the existing wire to connect them to the new headunit.




Also, take some pics of what your doing, I wanna see inside the dash and what is actually back there

alright, on the new harness i got for my new Pioneer flipout it has your typical 8 speaker wires right.......well i was wondering if i am able to use those on the harness or do i need to wire my hu speaker wire to the speaker wire off the amp.

In my mazda6 that i had, had a stock BOSE system in it (sucked) i had to use the speaker wires from the amp cuz the wires didnt run up to the stock HU.

is that any better? haha

Ill post pics of everything thats inside the dash in that area

Your stock wire is sufficient

so even tho i have a stock Pioneer system in the car i can still use the speaker wire off the harness

I'm with him, you should just be able to splice (or use a harness) and connect as you would any other radio in a car. If you have the Pioner system with the amp and don't want to use the amp then you'd have to run new wires.

then it should be a pretty quick install since my interior pieces are off getting painted haha

You Can Use The Stocks But Thicker Cables Will Make It Sound Better

just to clear something up.....im not talking about re-running new speaker wire for a headunit install. I was talking about when i wire up my harness will the speakers work or do i have to take the speaker wire from the amp and wire to the headunit. kinda look at it as if you put a system in your car...you run RCA cables back to the amp and then speaker wire to your subs. Its the same concept about having a stock amp already in the car. And my mazda6 had the bose system. I had to get rid of the amp and run all the wires that was on the amp up to my HU so my speakers worked. Guess you wouldnt understand if you never had to do that before

you dont have to change anything with wiring if you add a aftermarket radio. the time you would have to do that is if you added new speakers and added a 4ch. amp. just install as it is and put the brain somewhere else. the flip outs are pretty easy to install. good luck
