Yeah, I forgot that I had posted that.

Plus alot more, the battery on my camcorder was going dead, LOL

just 12 volts.
when the car is running it just takes it from alt.
i had a volt gauge in my car.
even when the screen wasn't working the pc was always on.
could tell from the little blue usb light under the seat.

but anyways, my volt meter was always at like 13 v

Nah, boots in like 25 seconds.

Yeah, the computer has an output (that I wired into the power supply inside the case) that outputs a pretty solid 12v. Use that output to power the monitor, it'll last longer, and you won't have to keep turning it on and off, the pc will do it with the key.

windows 7 is going to have a kick ass touch interface, much better than other touch interfaces so far. so that would be **** to install win 7 on a carputer!

122 ??
Man that's huge !!

Just kidding, but I know what you mean, and I like Carbon Fiber for the look, but your talking to the guy who had to put coil overs in to compensate for the sag that my ass end had due to so much stereo equipment in the trunk, with just my Eibach springs the rear was 1/2-3/4 inch lower than the front, look funny for a while, switched to BC coil overs and fixed everything right up, so I think I am the last person that cares about weight, well in the car at least.

exactly man. i understand carbon for looks **** i have it too. but lets not lie to ourselves and say its for weight savings when we know a few salads will do more then a 200 dollar hood

a guy at the shop sold his 2 SX 15s and MDF box to buy a DD 9515 and birch box. I 100% agree for the swap but he says he did it for weight savings. It was lighter but not much. Sounded hella better thou... oh he is pretty husky too btw

so you guys with carputers how are you running the power for the carputer? like i know a regular computer doesn't like being shut down with the car. so i was wondering how are you guys getting around this. the boot up is an easy part. but the shut down, to me having to go in to start menu and go into standby is a bit much don't ya think?

hmm interesting. i've never seen that before. i put my carputer project on hold for a while and now i'm back at it getting info again. so essentially i could hook that up to a regular mobo and all that stuff and save some cash from buying the compact mobo correct

true.
if you watch the video, mine already has that power off/standy thing built in.
it comes with a little harness that you plug into a 12v source, into a remote source, and then ground and thats it. its also got a connection to hook up the amp and all that other stuff if you wanna remote that too.
