i like seeing more talk about this kinda deal.

kinda makes me wanna go get my dual core atom and ssd's to replace the current p4 in mine.

i've always wanted one. just had to put the project on hold because at the time i originally wanted to do it, it wasn't feesable and as far as i had researched nobody had a proper psu that would protect the mainboard and OS

It's already setup. Just connect the white wire to the sunroof fuse and the red and black to power and ground and turn the key. The power window fuse gave me a weird restart problem when shutting the car off, so I think it pulses on that circuit or something.

And it works with the RKO circuit, so it stays on even when shut off until you open the door, just like the factory head unit.

is there a way to bypass that but still have it turn off when you open the door? my car radio turns off like 30 seconds (if that) after i take the key out...

no you have to plug in 2 two power sources, a constant 12v, and a remote wire
or itll always be on.

cool... thats fine with me... i gettin my alarm installed finally next friday... then i will be saving money for a radio/carputer....
