Quick Question: Radio install
So I installed my aftermarket radio but it pops out way to much due to the cords from my subs and the radio cords hitting that plastic back plate. Does that plastic thing have a reason to be there? Or can I just cut it out so the radio will fit better?
Thanks
Thanks

I myself got frustrated trying to get at the bolts that hold the metal bracket in (it was cold and late) and cut it out with re-bar snips. I don't recommend it to anyone, it would have been alot less painful to stay the course and remove the bolts.
If all else fails you can get RCA elbow adapters so that the RCA's don't stick out as far

i cut mine out as well... it was frustrating to get the bolts to screw out easily so what i did was bend the metal bracket inward so i can SEE the top of the bolts... from there, i managed to take them out... my hands got banged up pretty nicely (little scratches) but overall it took patience... so take ur time..
