Try Escort.
The passport line has a few models that are able to get around the VG-2 (the cops way of detecting the detector).
Some of them are built into the car with sensors in the front and rear, and the main unit in the dash somewhere, some of them are the more familar dash mounts but with a cordless option.
My suggestion is if you live in a place where these are illegal, don't get one. The way technology is today they will be able to beat them soon and you'll get pinched.
I however don't have this problem cuz they are pefectly legal here. Only place in canada where they are
I thought they were legal in the States?

Seeing the you live in VA and they are illegal here, I would go with the valentine 1 with the concealed display so that only you can see the lights go off. Plus the directional arrows are the ****. What part of Va are you in?

They all can be detected one way or another but most police cars don't use the detectors around here.
My dad has been running with the V1 for years and so have I and we have never been pulled over b/c a cop detected them.
btw check out this link if you have seen already.

In my opinion it is. If you read about the new Bell sti driver, they say it is undectable. Everything can be detected. As companies develop these "undectectable" radars. The military, police or whoever already heve the technology to detect them. The bell also states it has new ku band pick up for europe. V1 has had this option for years. V1 you can send it back and get it updated as new technology comes as well. V1 is the only one with arrows to let you know where to look, the only with a multiple bogey counter as well to tell you know how many bogeys are in the area and the only one I have seen with the concealed display.
Basically it comes down to personal preference like everything. Just have to read up on them and see what you want to go with.
And it cost less than teh Bell STI Driver
