valentine 1 FTW it even has arrows pointing to which way the signal is coming from which prevents the cops from getting u in their new speed traps where they have one cop sitting a bout 200yds after another so u think ur radar is still going off from the first one. They are getting sneakier and sneakier but the valentine 1 is the best without a doubt.

If price is not a factor, than yea, the Valentine is great. I have a Cobra and have had no issues with it as of yet, its probably saved me from 4 or 5 possible tickets.

V1 is the best way to go. I had one for 3 years and never got a ticket.
And the best part of it is when you sell it. The resale value is nearly the same as the brand new price. I sold mine to pay for my car insurance and car payment one month. I sold it for 385. when they are 400 brand new.
every ebay item is like that with the v1 .

Have a friend that mounted when up in his grill and had led's mounted on his dash. But, you lose rear and side detections. I have the valentine, works great and detectors are illegal here to. Just hardwire it in ran the wire up to the mirror and mount it up there, can't really see it, kind of blends in.

Ive got the escort 8500 x50 and its saved my ass a couple of times. I can detect radar without a line of sight, over hills and around corners. I like the 9500 too, but I just cant spend that much on a radar detector. I would consider the 9500 if the prices dropped a little though (the GPS functions of it are just damn cool)

the valentine is good for any type of area it is by far the best out there...but it is very expensive but like somone mentioned before resale value is awesome and the benefits u will gain from knowing exactly which direction the signall is coming from far outweighs the price

Where can you get one to mount in your grill?.... and couldn't you mount the rear near your license plate?... this sounds like the best option for those of us in va.?
