Exclamation Rear deck

I have a 2006 Colbalt LS, and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD how to you remove the rear deck to swap out the factory speakers? Pictures would be awesome, but a good description will work.

Quoted from PlaysWitCars

"You have to pull off the rear pillars, unbolt the headrests and pry the plugs off of the trim pieces thats attached to the rear deck. then its a tight fit for that deck so basically pull one side at a time. You can bend it a little to get it to come out. kinda hard to explain but you can figure it out once you feel out its coming loose. and I just took it all the way off, well its still attached to the seat belts, but u can slide it down to the seats. then you get complete access. My speakers came with harness with i had to crimp to the stock wiring. OH be careful on snapping the pillars back on...the pieces like to bend. so dont break any. Hope this helps some."

Don t forget to remove the headrest and be careful there is 2 metal snap close to the back window that hold the cloth trim. And be careful when you put your side trim back, they are a little bit tricky to put back in place.Seriously anybody can replace the rear speakers with ease so dont be scare to try

Yeah, when you put the side trim back in, make sure you put the little tabs into the slots at the edges of the panel before you snap it in. Hard to explain but you'll see what I mean when you get to that part. If you snap the panel back on without the little tabs already in, they won't go in. They rely on the pressure of the panel after its snapped to keep them in securely. I know since I popped my trim on first and couldn't get the tabs in, and I had to unclip the panel, get them in, then clip it back.
