Relay and Switch wiring

ok this has nothing to do with audio so i'm not sure where to put it.. Has more to do with wiring. I have the Snow Performance Water/Meth Injection kit and i want to be able to wire up the pump so i can turn it on and off as i please. Snow Performance told me I need a relay because the pump draws a lot. So i've been searching and there are so many different ways to wire and i'm getting confused. So basically I was to be able to turn the pump on and off when I want or when I need it. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks

If you have a 5 terminal relay....the middle terminal is not used....this one is marked as
87A....the #30 is full power from the battery which you need to fuse....#87 is the power wire connection for your pump......85 and 86 are the switch power and ground....these can be reversed it doesnt matter which is which. When you hook up your switch you need to get power from the battery to go in one side of the switch and the other side goes to 85.....what this all accomplishes is the fact that the relay only needs a small amount of power to operate a larger circuit......any questions feel free to contact me at
