Replacing door speakers with smaller ones?

I want to install some 6" Kicker speakers into my balt but i'm not sure how i'd go about doing this since the stock speakers are 6.5" >.<

there fine but 5 1/4 fit the best if you don't have the pioneer system

I just made brackets out of plywood for mine.
I have Kicker 6 1/2's in mine. But you can cut the opening to any size.
This is on of the brackets.

hmmm i did zero cutting. the kicker 6x9s needed something a lil different because they wouldnt fit in but my doors were fine.

on the pioneer speakers the 6.5 woofer and the adapter plate are separate and screwed together. on the base system the speaker and adapter are one single plastic molded piece
