My favorite has always been pioneer. I recently bought a pair of 6x9 300 watt 4-ways for around $30.00 on eBay and they are amazing.

I JUST put Infinity speakers in all four places. 6.5" in the doors and then the 6x9's in the back and they sound awsome. They aren't super cheap but they're very reasonable in most stores. The model numbers are 6022i and 9023i if I remember right. great great great sound.
