replacing stock ten with jl auido w6 10" what to do???
what do i need to do for this setup up. do i just take out the stock 10 and swap the jl w6 in there, or do i need a aftermarket amp. if i need the aftermarket amp, what should i do with the stock amp. can i run both amp. and is this a good idea

there probably wont be enough space to run that jl... you could always run it there but it definatly wont be at optimum potential. yes u would need an aftermarket amp and i would leave the other amp for the componets u have in the car( i beleave it runs those 2) ... i dont got a cobalt so i am not sure on the amp thing but u do need another amp and if i was you i would get a custom box made( or make it ur self.. always funner) and make it take up where the stocker fits and let it stick like 5inches or so out and run the box all the way to the back seats so u can get as much air space as u can..
now that i thought about it you could always port the box.. not the best option but better than stock sealed... if ur not lookin for quality sound just some bump ( probably)

for the best sound out of the w6 ur gonna have to custom build ur box and the way u want it 1 12" on each side ur gonna have to do some fiberglassing...id jus stick with a regular 4cu.ft. ported box with the port tuned to ~35hz
o and no ur not gonna have any problems with the stock headunit just use a line out converter and splice it into the stock subs wires
