Question rockford fosgate p2 setup need help

I have two p2 subwoofers with a 1000w power akustik amp. Kenwood kdc-092 head unit and 2 gauge wiring with rf twisted pair. I still have the factory amp and pioneer sub running but I cannot control its output from my deck. I was thinking about unhooking the factory amp and triple bridging the pioneer to my amp. Any yays or nays? I dunno what kind of negative effects it will have on power reduction to my power subs over the little helper pioneer. Anyone know the rms and peak for that ten incher? Reccomendations for makin that pioneer work a little harder without spending more for a different amp or whatever?

Iwould just use the Akustik amp and bridge, then tie both subs together to take the load down to 2 Ohms if the amp can handle it. You'd probably make more power doing this. and forgetting about using the stock amp, its probably underpowered for these subs anyway.

bridged

Well my fosgates are bridged and I was just thinking of triple bridging the pioneer into it. Thanks for the advice.

well theres no such thing and tripple bridgind. or double bridging. but regardless thats not a good idea. the stocker can handle more power but not much plus the amp u have probably wont like the low impedance anyway. so ull over heat the amp until the stock sub blows (im sure the amp will cut out multiple times down the line too) then the amp will blow shortly there after and ull have no bass

Get rid of the stock sub and use the trunk space for something else. You still need the factory amp to power the rest of the speakers in your car.

If you want more bass, buy a better amp. I have the same subs with a RF 500a2 and they pound. You can get older RF amps on e-bay for next to nothing and they work great!
