Running a additional amp and sub from rear speaker wiring
After spending a few hours reading threads its kinda confusing the correct and/or best way to wire from the rear speakers themselves to a aftermarket amp with RCA inputs, but my amp has a high level input connector which I used instead of RCA jacks.
Ok, went and bought a high level input connector for back of amp with wires for $5 and did not use the RCA jacks at all. Spliced right into each of the rear speaker wires to the high level connector wires and the seperate sub and amp work perfectly.

no no he is using high level inputs. basiclly he is getting signal from the rear speaker wire instead of running rca's. some amps have the ability to be ran with high level inputs but alot of them do not.
if your wanting to hook up an amp with high level inputs it will either have a harness type deal like the fosgate one pictured or direct inputs. Either way splice the stock wire and connect both the new run of wire along with the stock wire. run the speaker wire to your amp... hook it up by direct input or use butt connectors for the harness.
