Setup Questions

The AVH-P4100DVD has subwoofer preamp outputs, I want to use the LPF in it so I can control the sub from the HU, my amp is a monoblock amp it also has a builtin corssover,
what would be the recommended way to set this up? Use both crossovers, or just one.
The one on the amp(alpine M500) does not have a option to turn off.

isnt the m500 the v power? thought u could disable the xover

um i would just do it at the amp and be done with it, you shouldn't really need to mess with the x-over often. With that being said you can call me a hypocrite because i'm using the LPF on my deck and my processor and amp have x-overs that cant be disabled, so i have them just turned all the way up to 200hz

Yes it is a V-Power amp, i have looked at the manual and the amp itself and I see no way to dis-engage the crossover, I beleive it is because it is a mono sub amp, the 4ch. V-Power has the option to turn off X-over. can I still use the sub level control on the 4100 without using the x-over on it? If I end up using both x-overs do I just turn the x-over on the amp all the way up and use the x-over on the 4100 and set it where I want?
