speaker

i was looking at getting new speakers for the front doors, since im getting a headunit too and am going to order the same time

i was talking to people who worked at crutchfield and one came upon Kenwood KFC-1662S Pioneer TS-G1642R Sony GT1625A

the guy said out of all 3 of those the kenwoods would be the best choice
but im still not sure
i kinda wanted the pioneers but am not sure whats the best choice out of the 3 of them

OK first thing first, do you have the cobalt with the pioneer 7 speaker system, or do you have the non pioneer 4 speaker system?

Secondly, what type of head unit are you planning on getting?

no i dont have the pioneer 7 speaker system just the stock 4 speaker setup.
i wanna spend around 50-60 on speakers
and i don't want best stuff available i just want decent stuff for the money
and i plan on getting a sony CDX-GT630UI
because i like the design and all that and it has gotten all good reviews on crutchfield and i haven't heard anything bad about it and the specs aren't that bad either

i some how did a double thread because it kept freezing. and i don't think im going to get subs and all that because doesn't really go well with heavy metal and all that i just think im going to do the headunit and speakers.
i don't really need top of the line speakers i just want an upgrade from the stock speakers

OK well keep in mind that without an amp, you will not get everything out of the system that you otherwise could. The internal amp in the Sony deck will improve your sound with aftermarket speakers a little, but there wont be a drastic difference. Personally out the 3 speakers that you listed I would go with either the Kenwood or Pioneer. Even a set of Alpine type S would serve you well. However if you really want to improve your sound and power and your willing to spend a bit more, replace both the 6.5's in the front and 6/9's in the back, add a 4 channel amp and your set. You'll be glad you did.

yeah idk i mean i might get a amp and subs in the future.
but im not getting everything at once. im just going to get the speakers and the head unit for now.
i have a legit system in my garage its been there for 2 years its my sisters but she doesn't want me to touch it because she says she wants to put it in her balt. but she has been saying that for monthssss
i might put it in anyway and not tell her because she'll never know bc she doesn't live at home anymore since she moved out
and im going to replace the speakers in the back, just not right now.

so either the kenwood or the pioneer speakers.. i kinda want the pioneers since its known in alot of cobalt's but am not sure thats why i wanted a few opinions.

personally i would rate them kenwood, sony, pioneer

i would probably prefer the oem pioneers over the lowest line pioneers. they are really bad

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS6...00.html?tp=105

i really don't want to drop alot in audio i just want my audio to sound a little better with the new deck i don't need the top of the line speakers i just want a upgrade from the stock ones
thats why i was thinking the kenwoods would be a 1st level upgrade from my stock speakers
i don't know if i want to go and spend 200 in speakers yeah it will sound top of the line but i wanted something a little less money.

yeah but i dont get all the mounting brackets and all that. which i would need

so those alpine ones i posted are alot better than the original 3 i posted

i might just get those for the front as a start since they are only 50 more than the other ones

than later down the line get another set for the rear ones

not really. it makes the 3k worth of product we have look less appealing. then again we are running low on hertz stuff so

someone should buy me some ES-03s so i can start on a center channel. take this baby to 5.1

I was thinking of removing my heater vents above the radio and doing the same thing.
My deck has 5.1 on it so I already have the preout for it , but I would have to get another amp.
I have a chance to get a DDS2, like my S4 it will run 1 ohm stereo but still give 350 a side at 4 ohms. I want to use it for midbass, and use the s4 for the rest of the front end.
IDK, it freaking huge but its A/B and not know to draw huge amounts of power, plus its DD so its efficient

Yeah its impressive isn't it.
I never use my vents, I hate the hot or cold air blowing at me, you live in a part of the country where its HOT in the summers and still hot in the winter so I understand why you would want the vents.
To be honest the AC gives me a headache for some reason, so I have never turned it on, besides it sucks up HP

I was looking at the DD 6.5's for mid bass, I have listen to them a few times and the guy that works on my car just made pods for his 350z with them in it, they sound really nice, I just can't make up my mind on the other set I want to use, but I'm leaning towards the polyglass Focals, or the HI energy Hertz.
The problem is every time I go a shop to look at something I'm like kid in a candy store...I want everything
