haha , go up a couple posts man . I listed how the wires cross over . I went back and highlighted the 2005 pin #'s . The pin #'s are on the connector , and even the aftermarket 2007 connector ( that DOESNT have correct wire colors ) DOES HAVE the correct pin #'s marked on it . The pins on the 2005 connector that have letters instead of #'s are the small connector .

***another note , the after market connector is not labeled as being for a Cobalt , its labeled as being for a Ion , Vue and HHR . Ignore that though and just go by matching the correct pins #'s like I listed above .....you will end up with spare wires on the 2007 aftermarket connector the Cobalt doesnt use .

Good luck

how much did it cost to get the 07 cd changer?? ive been thinking to get it ..finally..
cd changers for 06~~~

there is connector for stock hu to wire outs...
and also wiring harness we usually buy.. im not sure about 07s.. at least 06 did.. but if they are out ..it will be a lot easier. to install cause you only need to match the colors of the wires... instead of pin customization... ill post the pics as soon as i get them..

I paid 200 for the HU . As far as the wiring goes , it would have been MUCH easier if I coulda got the stock 2007 pigtails included with the radio , then you could have just matched the colors . If you have to get the aftermarket , you have to re-pin it because its base model harness .

You should see my PM box Its very easy to understand though at least . All the slots in the factory and aftermarket connectors are #'ed and I listed the crossover . If you dont have any exprirence with wiring , yea ...this will be a bit difficult and possibly a fire hazzard ( Ive seen some SCARY newby wiring jobs) .

I lost my contacts at the chevy dealer , so the guy that unlocked my radio I can longer get in touch with . Any competent chevy dealer should be able to do it though .
