Starting my stereo build
PICS TO COME!
Getting ready to start ordering my stereo stuff, not as extensive as some builds but a pretty big project none the less.
HU: Pioneer DEH-P8400BH
AMPS: Zapco I600 (sub), Autotek MM M2000.4 (mids/highs)
Mids/Highs: JBL P660C 6.5" components (Front), going to run stock Pioneer rears for now
Sub: Sundown SA12D4 in a 1.75 cu ft box ported to 32 hz
That will do it for now, however by the end of the year I plan on switching out the Zapco for an Autotek MM M4000.1D and adding another SA12D4 and running at 1 ohm. Also will most likely be adding an Arc Audio KEQ5, but not right out of the gate. I'm not anticipating that the rear speakers are going to let me down as the front stage is going to get down pretty hard and the cab is pretty small, however if they don't do the job I will most likely put some JBL 6x9's back there but I'm hoping I don't have to.
I know Autotek amps are nowhere near Zapco quality, but the I600 i currently have is not enough for the SA12 and being as this is really just a commuter car I don't want to spend big money on the stuff I put in, the F150 I will be building is going to be pretty extensive though.

I do have a question for you though, the box I am building will be a basic rectangular box for the trunk, I have it figured at 15HX12DX25W with a port tune of 32 hZ using an aero port. I was planning on using one 3" aeroport with inner and outer flanges. If my math is correct I will need a 9 1/4" port to achieve that frequency in that box, however I'm worried about efficiency. In your opinion do you think this will be enough port diameter? I do plan on swapping out for the larger amp in the near future and will be running somewhere in the ballpark of 1000 watts to the SA12.
