Stock Head Unit Issues

I know I read a thread about this somewhere here but can't seem to find it.
My 08 Stock head unit is coming up with its own equalizer settings. I have it set manually to where I want it, but now it decides to change the settings on its own, sometimes while listening to the stereo when driving. Its done this for a few days now. Its sporatic. This morning it didn't do it.
If anyone can remember the thread about it I'd appreciate a link so I can read up.
Or Emperor? any ideas?
I hope this head unit isn't on the fritz.

Is it EQ only or volume as well. Its probably on that stupid setting that messes with volume and possibly EQ dependent on RPM. If not units probably a dud

Naw, it's EQ only. It didn't do it today. What I didn't know was that you have individual EQ settings for each station and for the CD player. If it does it again I guess I'll have to visit the dealership and see if they will replace it. Hopefully they won't blame it on the aftermarket amplifers and speakers..lol

are u talking about the EQ changes on the same station and or the cd player. BC there is also the setting to have either one single EQ for everything or individual saved ones for each station ect

dman, yes, I have it set, don't touch a thing other than the volume, then somewhere along the drive it sounded different, checked the EQ settings and sure enough, they changed, but not to baseline settings, just to different settings.

Emp, it does it without me changing stations (the ghostly EQ change). But it is not going to baseline with everything in the middle. Apparently I am on the setting to have an individual eq setting because when I was checking it and discovered the difference on some of the stations, they were different. And when I went to the CD, it was where I last set it for that CD. It was an older CD so I pegged the bass channel, it was still pegged.
