can i use the usb cable that come with my ipod to connect my ipod to my pioneer headunit and i can control my ipod through the headunit and it will charge my ipod also?

It depends on what head unit and what iPod you have.

i have a pioneer (premier) headunit double din not the touch screen. and i have a ipod nano the first kind that came out.

then you need to get out your instruction manual for the HU or go to the pioneer website and look it up, see what kind of functionality the the unit has with your iPod, not all the head units work with all the iPods and not all the head units can control or use an iPod without the iPod adapter box

model of the unit. most of the new 08+ pioneer units with USB have a lil cheap ipod plug in but otherwise u will need the $60 ipod cable
