^^^--Agreed!
I have Infinity 6.5's w/3/4" tweets in mine and they sound great.
If you are looking to replace the stock speakers quickly then go with the same size as stock, a good set of 2 way 6x9's in the back and 6.5's up front, not sure if the LT has the stock tweeters in it but u=if so 3/4 inch.
Depending on how much $$$ you want to spend, Infinity, Facal, MB Quartz all make good front end equipment (IMO). If you are looking to spend a little less money then, some of the lower lines from Alpine and JBL are a little easier on the wallet but still sound decent

Why 2 way 6x9 though? And I thought Kappa only had the 3 way and 4 way 6x9's anyways?

Your probably right, I didn't really look it up before I posted.
What I should have said was to get at least 2 way 6x9, this saves the trouble of having to mount tweets in the back. 2, 3, 4 way, doesn't matter, they will all get the job done.
However once you get up to 3 or 4 way I find it gets a little high pitched, for lack of a better word, it gets tingy, plus the more you add on the more power its going to need, I was trying to keep it simple and the price down.
I personaly took the stock 6x9's out and put in the Infinity reference 6020's (6.5's w/3/4"tweets) and mounted them right on the deck lid, the added weight helps with the rattle factor and plus there unubstructed

Throw away your back speakers and put in some Rainbow SLC's (home made in Germany) in the front.

Yeah. Best speakers is a bit one sided for everyone. I like Infinity myself for aftermarkets. For OEM I like Boston. But whatewever you like/can afford is always a plus. Pioneer is good for the money, **** like that. Good luck. also, hopefelly those subs are 10's, because that cobalt trunk isn't too sub friendly. lol. My 10's bartely fit when I had them in...

I have 4 6x9's in my balt...the front doors i had to dremel out but they fit. You can hook up subs to your stock radio but your going to get a **** load of interference and shitty sound quality... plus you wont be able to tune the frequencies which pretty much defeats the purpose of getting a system
