Stock Stereo problem

Hey guys, I have an 2006 SS/SC, recently my stock system has been screwing up. I was driving to work and the display suddenly changed from showing the time and radio station to the top line being solid, and the bottom line being random dots. Well that cleared up when I left work and it was like nothing happened. Now the other day my volume knob seemed to be messed up, it could turn power on and off, but turning it would bring the volume text up, but thats it (I could use the steering wheel controls fine). After that my entire radio stopped working. I could only switch power on and off, no other buttons worked, including SW controls. Well that seemed to clear up as well, until today. The volume knob began not working again, so I tried a battery disconnect to reset everything. That worked for a second, and upon starting my car 2 beeps were heard and the knob still doesn't work right. Can anyone help?

try doing a hard reset, pull it out and let it sit for a while, but EMP is probably right!

So for the past day it has been displaying the time on and off, so I assume it's turning on and off, and my battery is dead....I'll PM you about that head unit.

For right now I have her on the charger and I pulled the stereo fuse. At least I can drive in silence.

remember you have to get any new stock cd player to have the vin relared at the dealership. So it might be cheaper to go aftermarket. Look into the kenwood 138
