stock sub amp
I took a peek on the driver's dashboard and notice an amp-like aluminum case just on the left side of steering column. Was that the sub amp that i want to replaced?

not sure but it sounds like you have located it... however you dont want to replace it unless you are running different speakers / sub. i thought that amp powered all the speakers, and i know that the stock sub wont handle more power, i tried it once, put 30 watts to it with the gain turned way down and it still distorted.
