Stock sub with a different amp?

i was wondering how u would wire the stock sub with an aftermarket amp?..since the sub has 4 wires coming from it. so if any1 can help, please tell me...i'm puttin the sub in my jeep since i have a pretty nice setup in my cobalt, i'll post pics of it sometime later hopefuly. but if any1 can help me that'd be great!

its a dual coil 2 ohm speaker... doesnt handle much power too.. have fun

you can do it, i've done it, it's a 2x2 ohm sub, so if you wire it for four ohm and run it off of a smallish amp, it'll work well.

how big, or should i say small, amp should i run?

Make sure you buy a two channel amp . I don't know of to many 100 watt mono channel amps that are stable at 1 ohm, unless you want to wire it in series

ya your going to want it in series a small 100w 4 ohm bridgeable 2 chan is perfect

i wired mine in series for 4ohm, and there are a few out there. hell, for that purpose, i'd buy a little BS one from wal mart.
