Subs pulsing.... Weird... help
So I have recently put in 2 12 inch Kicker comps with my old audiofonix 800w amp and a 1.5 farrad capacitor, and I also have 4 gauge power wire. So When i turn on the car or turn the key over i get this weird distortion noise and whenever i push or pull a button (like the window controls) the subs make a pulsing sound... WTH could this be???? Someone please help me.

The only thing that comes to my mind quickly is maybe trying a ground loop isolator on the RCAs that connect to your amp.
Are you tapped into the rear speakers and have a stock deck, or do you have an aftermarket deck?

I have a factory head unit with a toggle switch to turn on my amp and when I leave the amp on and shut the door mine makes a loud pulsating sound too, but I kinda like it that way I won't forget to turn my amp off lol.

lol, i have my factory radio, with a kicker l5 and a kicker 300.1 amp. I tapped into the rear speakers and did a high level input directly through the amp INSTEAD of a line out converter. WELLLLL when i start my car the damn thing will BUZZZZ really really loud untill i let off the key. Its Scared the Sh** out of me plenty of times, it doesent do it everytime. Gets me when i least expect it .

Basically, if IIRC, a ground loop is a condition when the grounding of your RCAs is being interfered with electronically... So that interference prevents a clear signal to your amp, creating the noises you're hearing.
I say to do this first because its a cheap and easy way to solve it if that is even the problem, if not, it's the unit itself.

That's just the first result off of google...lol. Any electronics store should have it, Circuit City, Best Buy, or your local audio shop.

You might want to do it locally in case it doesn't solve the problem, that way you know you can get your money back easily.
