System install

Hey all, I've got an aftermarket head unit already and I have the Pioneer package. I have a Alpine Type R 12 and a Alpine MRD-M1005 I'm about to install in the car but my question is I want to keep the Pioneer sub in the car but I just want to disconnect it because I will blow it up at the volumes I'm gonna be running at. So my question is how do I disconnect the factory sub while still retaining all of it in the car? Thanks!

Unbolt the sub from the trunk. Theres a speaker wire connector that you can disconnect and mount the sub back

Would this be the gray plug sitting on top of the subwoofer by chance?

So update on the system. I just picked up 2 JL Audio 10W7's. I am going to be selling one of them so if anyone is interested then let me know. I am gonna buy a slot ported box (whenever I figure out what kind of box I want) and put one of the W7's in the Cobalt powered by the Alpine MRD-M1005 Digital Amp and I already have the Pioneer NEX8000 Headunit in the car. Anyone have a recommendation on a box? And again if anyone is interested in buying the other 10w7 then let me know.

Thanks
