system set up question.
So in the aveo im looking to redo my system with my tax money but im not sure what i want to get.
I know i want to get 6.5's with a space in the front and have the regular 4x6 in the rear and then a sub and amp and new deck.
What i need help with is figuring out what wattage is the best to get. im not looking for a huge hitting system i just want good quality and good base since i listen to mostly rap and hip hop.
Ne suggestions on whats best for me to get?

well how much are you talking about...Money wise? JBL BP600.1 is an awesome 600 watt amp.. I prefer audiobahn flame q series subs because they can hit you high and lows and really bump. They are realatively cheap too

alpine, infenity, and boston all make good componet sets.
sorry didint rear the post right.
for an amp i would go with alpine, JL,..even kenwood has good amps. just depends on the speakers as to the wattage.

what about speakers and how much they say 240W peak power (80W RMS)....what does that mean and whats a good range i should look for on that?

rms is what they will run most of the time however they can handle 240 peak power for a short amount of time, you should buy a 300 watt peak, 150 rms amp to match it... there is alot more to look at as well, like wiring, what channel amp. What ohm you will be running the sub at... lots of things. i would get help at an audio place. but educate yourself and dont be "sold" on the most excpencive things. I would say start cheap and upgrade as you go. since you really dont know what sounds good you will be happy with about anything.

i would get a 4 channel amp for the components and rear speakers, and a mono one channel for the sub. and call it a day. Forgeve me if im wrong. i have been out of the audio world for a while now,..

dont look at peak power... its a 100% useless number
Also the aveo dash kit is an odd one so make sure to get that asap. it would really suck if u were prepped to do all this install stuff and you go to a shop to get the kit and they have to order it.
