Im replacing my factory speakers and just lookin for some feedback or any other suggestions. I work at circuitcity and we get 60% off all Kicker items. i already have the 6.5's and the 6x9's not installed but im waiting to get all of it before i install it. plus i just got the Pioneer Avic N1 so it will be insane.

Im replacing the front door panel speakers with these

the stock speakers are pretty dank, I upgraded the subs.. but i would stay away from the 4 channel amps.. I had a power accoustik 1500 watt amp and mine blew.. the dude said i needed a mono amp.. so i paid like $400 for the memphis 1000watt 2 ohm. stable with built in fan.. my subs are finally alive.. lol

yup... ur exactly right... do it right the 1st time i tried takin the easy way out and got screwed soo... memphis or kicker mono amp would be the deal

man...dude, i just bought kicker 2 12" L5's. i was in my buddies car, they ****** pound. but honestly, the BEST interior speakers i've ever heard, are infinity. they make the best interior car speakers. but idk, i love kicker, n i love memphis, but infinity ftw. but hopefully i get everything installed, because i gotta dish out mad cash to get these subs up. i'm gettin 2 pheonix gold 600 watt class d amps, a 3 ferad cap., i guess i'm gonna have to replace my alt. and i already got the eclipse cd 3000 head-unit. i bought my boy the cd 2000, and its mad sexy, i can't wait to hear mine. but yeah, idk, i love kicker, but...PRICEY! the only reason y i bought the subs was bc i onl;y paid 202.00 bux for them. yeah...brand new. they retail like 300+ a piece and the box is like 100+ box. sooo i made out hardcore. lol. but best of luck. hopefully we can meet sometime n have a bass off.

I think memphis makes the best door speakers u get what u pay for... eclipse is 2nd best...the infinitys that come in my dads ram 1500 hemi are nothing great at all

exactly i would probably think about doing the same thing... kicker isnt that bad so if you got a really god price then go for it. but like pop said you dont need an extra set of tweeters... it can be done but its not nessicary

Thats what I was thinking too, why would you get tweeters when the 6.5" components come with 1" tweeters? You want to install 4 tweeters? If you want to install an extra set of speakers you should put in some 4 or 3.5" mids.

JL Audio! W7 Subs and the top series components are friggins incredible. For subs their 500/1 and 1000/1 are the best I would say by far. Price is reasonable too!

Yeah JL Audio do make great speakers. Also Focal have some really nice high end speakers.

I don't know to much about Focal, but all I have ever heard is fantastic reviews on the brand. However, never heard the speakers in person or owned anything like that. But yeah... I dunno if I would buy anything other then JL Audio.... maybe a higher end MTX for subs but thats it.

you have a very similar setup with me. but i have the kicker rs65.2 all the way around. very good system. you dont need those tweeters though. they come off the components and you can mount them there.
