terrible rattling under car
sooo for the first time ever i had the pleasure of seeing my car on the road when im not driving it....my friend was driving and i pulled up next to him and he cranked up the subs and i swear all i could hear is metal smashing against each other underneath the car....
im probably going to take it to a auto repair and see if they can tighten up that **** and put some stuff to keep that **** from happening
has this happened to anyone else?

What side of the car did you pull up on?
You can take it to all the auto shops you want but it won'y help....ahh if only it was that easy.
You want to get rid of it, pick your self up some Dynamat, Hush Mat, Spectrum, ect, ect.
If you were on the passenger side of the car chances are it was the vent in the trunk you herd .
If you haven't done this yet, get some 2 way tape and put it on the back of your lic. plate

I had a similar problem.
It was under the car where the spare tire well ends at the back it was bordered by some steel ...fins I guess would the best way to describe them. They box inthe spare tirel well.
The well was flexing and banging up against the fins or the other way around. Spray on sound deadner help alot but didn't totally get rid of it.
If you pull the carpet off the passenger side of the trunk you will see a black square shaped plastic and rubber piece along the bottom behind the tire. It is a vent to allow air to escape when you close the doors. I got rid of mine and covered it with Hush Mat and some window screen from Home depot.
I did however cover it right up with Hush Mat when I moved my battery there. I didn't want to take the chance of the battery getting wet.
Now my sunroof pops up a bit when I close the doors, no biggy. So you can cover it if you so please

i think I know what your talking about, its close to the passenger side brake light...? on the far right side of the car behind the carpet?
if thats what you were talking about I took the rubber piece out cuz it was slapping up against the plastic vent. if thats not what your talking about I already have my entire wheel well covered in damp pro

Heat shield
Its a good possiblity.
Its under the car between the exhaust and the car
The always come loose on every car.
If you try to fix it make sure the car has not been on for a while, the exhaust tends to hot and there is little room betwwen the pipe and the shield

Yea, you will know what we are talking about if it is loose. On mine both of the rear rivets popped loose so I ghettofied it with some screws. I still get a teeny tiny bit of rattle but nothing like how it was. I am contemplating putting some rubber groments between the heat shield and undercarriage of the car. It's going to be towards the rear of the vehicle. Just follow the exhaust and you will see this aluminum looking shield thing. that is what comes loose.

yep! it was the heat shield, its basically in the middle of the car so I cant get to it, and even when i do get to it, i wont know how to stop the rattle anyways...
should i take it to a shop and see what they can do?

I just took a screw. I found one that was the same size as the hole so that way the threads would catch and secure the heat shield. I don't know what size screw it was that I used.
