Thinking of somthing new for subs
So i have 2 jl audio 12inch W1v2s running in a sealed box with a Jbl gto700.1 amp and my friend is selling his Jl W6 thats in a ported probox and hes only running 400watts to it off a alphine amp, so im thinking of selling my subs and the box and buying his w6 with the money imake and hooking it to my 700watt amp how do you think it will sound, is it going to sound better? what do you guys think i should do?

It all depends.
First off I can't remember, do the w6's come in dual 2 and dual 4 ohm versions or just dual 4ohms?
I had the Jbl 600.1 and it was not 1 ohm stable. Not sure if its the same for the 700.1 If the w6 is dual 2 ohm then your amp might not run it.
If not and its dual 4ohm then I say get it, but keep this very important advice in mind...BOX, BOX, BOX!! (and I'm not talking about that cutie that you like to flirt with everyday)
If you want to run a w6 then the box you put it in is as important, if not more important than the amp you have running it. Make sure its built to specs and IMO, ported is the way to go.
